Hi, I would like to setup a test RtReport with simulated batch data.
As a clarification, do you already have the simulated batch data and you are looking for how to make an RtReport, or are you looking for simulated batch data in order to run a test RtReport against it?
This youtube playlist contains some videos that will help you set up PI Batch Generator (PIBaGen) to use the default tags on everyone's PI server in order to create test batches:

If you are instead looking for instructions on the RtReports side, do you already have it installed?
Also, you can find a batch simulator from the download center. Look for the download titled: "Batch & Event Framing for Process Analysis - Course Materials". If you want test your exact recipes, probably test to copy the production server, create mock batches, or point a batch interface/custom code to the test data historian.
I would not recommend testing using your production server if possible. Also, I've had several RtReports servers point to the same PI Server, and the trick to this is to use different MDB paths for the RtReports configuration as well as different tag prefixes for the RtReports history storage.
I'll try to download "Batch & Event Framing for Process Analysis - Course Materials" and try to run the batch simulator.
Sounds good. It isn't too bad to get going with the MDB imports and the ramp/random tags used. I've used this kit a few times...
