Anyone know which JS file argument I can change to set it from the default 8h to whatever I like?
I do not know about editing a JS file, but one way to do this would be to edit the ProcessBook display directly. The default time range is 8 hours in CoreSight because that's how they are saved in the PDI file that is imported.
Steps to adjust display time:
1. Open the display in ProcessBook
2. Enter Build-mode, then double click an object and edit the 'Plot Time' for each trend
The default for this configuration is *-8h to * and is stored in Tools>Preferences>Trend
3. Close out of the Coresight browser completely to avoid loading from cache
4. Reload the ProcessBook display
Editing JS files is not recommended. Neither is it officially supported. Given the use case, Douglas's method is pretty neat and sufficient. By the way, if there's anything you'd like to see improved in the future release, I'd like to encourage you to contribute your suggestions on our feedback forum.
I have around 300+ Processbook displays and don't want to manually edit each PDI file.
Another option, might be if you are sending users to the imported ProcessBook displays with URL links, you could use URL parameters to set the start and end times. PI time expressions are also supported. For example:
Simply append ?starttime=<pitimeexpression>&endtime=<pitimeexpression>
Maybe this will be an option for you,
