OSIsoft is in the process of developing a new training tool called the “Online Learning Labs” that will be available via a paid subscription.  These are the same Learning Labs that have been offered at our user conferences for many years now and that customers have made very popular.

Learning Labs are a series of short exercises that teach how to accomplish different tasks using the OSIsoft applications.  They range from building a display in ProcessBook to configuring a notification and escalation workflow.  These labs cover popular topics such as the latest features in the newest version of ProcessBook, building simple Web Part pages, find and display PI Points with SharePoint enterprise search, learning how to query PI using PI OLEDB  basics, building AF displays, and much more.

These Learning Labs will be made available over the web through the provisioning of a virtual machine that contains all of the OSIsoft applications already installed and configured.  Additionally, they will have instructional accompanying videos and links to relevant webinars.

As we continue developing the content, we invite you to submit your ideas for learning labs.  Suitable topics are short tasks that you would like to learn by actually performing them, following step by step instructions and that can be accomplished using the OSIsoft tools in approximately 30 – 45 min.
