There is the AF Model and AF Layer. The AFModel is a logical grouping of elements and their relationship (or connectivity) to other elements within the model and a AFLayer provides a means within an AFModel for organizing elements for presentation purposes and/or specifying active elements when executing an analysis.
What's this AFLayer uasge? I'd like to know useful case of these two.
You can also use the Layers feature with a graphic modeling tool, such as ProcessBook, to provide a visual overlay functionality.
Layers in ProcessBook seem to be a underestimated feature.
Please note OSIsoft vCampus is intended to focus on topics related to PI programming and integration of PI with other systems; system administration/usage/configuration questions should continue to go to Tech Support.
