Goal:  I wanted to set a deadband in an AF Notification Template; as a PE, and this functionality is not available. Obstacle:  (OSI) A deadband is a buffer around the limit value which assures the notification will not prematurely exit the alerting state. It only applies to "", and ">". If you are going to use PrevVal function (or some other function) I think it is not possible to configure a deadband. Workaround: Step 1) Created an alarm value in a lookup table (alarm value is deadband divided by 2) Step 2) Created an attribute (formula) to compare 2 points of data to alarm limit.  Then, set a deadband attribute to 0 or 1. A=HH1_A1;B=HH1_A2;Q=HH1 Max Limit;R=HH1_DeadBand_Value;[if A= tagval('Dynamics|HH1|HH1 Max Limit','*') and tagval('Dynamics|HH1|HH1_DeadBand_Alarm','*') = 0 or tagval('Dynamics|HH1|HH1_A2','*') >= tagval('Dynamics|HH1|HH1 Max Limit','*') and tagval('Dynamics|HH1|HH1_DeadBand_Alarm','*') = 0 then 1 else 0
