This question deserves a thread of its own. What you are doing now is using PI User Authentication mode. So it won't be the same as AF since AF takes your windows credentials.
What you should do is use the .Connect(NetworkCredential, PIAuthenticationMode) overload instead and specify PIAuthenticationMode to be WindowsAuthentication. Then it should work.
Be aware that the AF and PI security models are independent of each other so make sure you have the appropriate mappings on the PI Data Archive to connect successfully.
