I keep on getting this warning (see below)
What can cause it and how can it be fixed? Any help would be appreciated.
Can you provide a bit more information to give some additional context to this issue:
What is your PI AF version?
What is your PI Data Archive version?
What is the Attribute data reference configuration - are these configured with the 'default' snapshot configuration?
Do you get this same issue when requesting values for these PI tags from another client tool such as PI DataLink or PI ProcessBook? Do other users see this same issue?
I wanted to add on to John's comments.
Using another client tool, can you check if the PI Tags are saying the same thing?
It looks like there may be something wrong with the AF Application service. Have you tried to restart the PI AF Application Service from Windows Services on the PI AF Machine?
Converting -2146893041 to hex gives us the HRESULT error code 0x8009030F, which in turn is the error status SEC_E_MESSAGE_ALTERED. Googling the hex code, we can find at least one known issue with Windows:
Are any of the nodes involved Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista? If you are able to eliminate the known issue above, at the very least I think we can narrow down the issue to being security or SSPI related, since the hex HRESULT facility bits = 9. Perhaps troubleshoot the authentication between nodes, check Kerberos configuration, security Event Viewer logs, etc. As John and Jesse suggested, does the same problem present itself with other client tools, or from the same client tool on other nodes (including on the server locally)?
