How can I delete a collective from a server?
I would assume you are refering to deleting a Collective Member (a PI Server) from a PI Collective programmatically? Then I do not believe PISDK supports this.
You can have a look at the 'Collective Manager' (usually found in the Start Menu under 'PI System') if you want to manage your Collectives manually.
I cant see any option to delete a whole collective under collective manager. Any idea how to do that?
Can you just leave your Collective containing one serer?
I suggest that you can manualy delete colletive and put PI Server back in 'one-server' mode using appropriate PICONFIG commands.
You will have to run a few PIConfig scripts to do that. I recommend you contact our regular Technical Support team - they will be able to guide you through that very easily.
I'm pretty sure you can do it this way.
Stop PI, backup your piserver.dat and picollective.dat files, delete the copies in the DAT folder, start PI.
You can also check out piartool commands. You can use it to drop members (piartool -sys -drop) of the collective and perform other tasks.
Thanks everyone fo the resolutions.:)
