Is PI OPC UA Interface not OPC certified?

We have a use case where we have to bring in data from a vendor provided OPC UA Server (running on Red Hat Ent Linux) to the PI DA. The vendor was using Prosys OPC UA Java SDK / Toolkit. I have the PI OPC UA connector installed on an interface node. I transferred the cert from the OPC UA Server to the trusted folder on the interface node. The vendor says it doesn't support certificates. The problem I am facing is that the TypeDefinition file generated is always 1KB in size. While the UA Connector creates couple elements in AF, we have a large number of assets it is not creating, potentially due to the TypeDefinition file not generating the full list.

I worked with OSIsoft techsupport but I was referred to the vendor's OPC UA implementation. The vendor says that the PI interface for OPC UA certified. https://opcfoundation.org/certified-products

Any insight anyone may have have is well appreciated!
