How to handle bad values in StringBuilder

I have an attribute that shows a descriptive text which involves the value from several other attributes. Now, it happens for "natural reasons" that one or more of the other attributes is in a digital state, it has a bad value.

In this case, the descriptive text attribute becomes "bad" - the text is turned into "Bad input value..."

How can I suppress the bad value for individual attributes to avoid that the whole text becomes "bad"? I want to have something like this:
