Is it possible to run an ACE module on multiple ACE servers?
If so, what needs to be done to set this up?
When running more than 1 ACE scheduler, each executable can belong to only one scheduler node.
This section of the User Guide has quite a few examples, but since you can't have one .exe running on more than one scheduler, there is not any example for that scenario.
ACE can be configured for load balancing and for failover depending on your configuration. If the schedulers have the same names, then ACE will run in failover. You can move your executables under different schedulers to load balance. You might have to change the settings in the PIACENetScheduler.exe.config file.
This isn't so much as load balance issue....
I have an ACE module that is generating values, but it was delayed in being implemented for various reasons.
So... by the time it was implemented, it needed to start generating data from a month back and move forward.
Because it generates a volume of data, multiple contexts have been created to accelerate the back filling.
However, I've run into an issue with "Out of memory" errors that point to trying to instantiate too many contexts.
So... I was trying to get another ACE schedule running to help with the load.
The system IS making progress, its just not as fast as the end-users would like...
Could you potentially move it on a separate instance so that it is not affected by the other calculations being made (potentially on a separate machine)
Working on something to that effect...
In addition to running it from my machine while logged in.
