PI DataLink with Assets by row and Attributes by Column

Hello, all. I am probably just being extra dense today and slow minded. Here is what I am trying to do.

I have a client within our business come by desk. Here is our conversation:

Client: "Hey, can get a list of all these regional assets with some current values out of PI and into a spreadsheet?"
Me: "Sure! PI can do that with DataLink, which is already installed on your machine and part of Excel."Client: "Can you show me?"

Me: "It's really easy. This will take like 5 minutes..."

...

...

Me: "Let me work on this a bit and get back to you by end of business."

Doh! That was crummy. So... HELP! Here is what we want the output to be in Excel:

Asset NameAttribute 1Attribute 2Attribute 3Attribute 4
Asset 1
Asset 2
Asset 3
...
Asset {N}

You get the idea. Surely, someone out there has done this before and I am just totally missing the point. I could do this kind of easily for 1 row, but how do I do this for a list of assets like this? Was trying to avoid making like a thousand RPC calls to PI by doing each row as its own DataLink request.

Save my day, please!?

Don
