Until this moment we are using the AFElement Readonly Property Models. It looks has been replaced by the method GetParents
How can we use GetParents to recover the models to which one element belongs?
Many thanks, Imanol
You are on the right track. PSE uses GetParents too.
Can you please explain more detailed what you are trying to accomplish?
Are you looking for a programmatic solution e.g. using AF SDK?
Are you referring to AFElementTemplates or better set derived AFElements which do not allow extensions?
Is my guess right that you are looking for the parent AFElement of an AFElement you already found?
Can you please see if the AFElement.Parent Property is what you are looking for?
I will try to explainme better...
We have an ACE calculation developed with AFSDK.
This ACE is invoqued with one tag that correspons to an AF Element.
From that element we need to recover the model were is referenced.
We are recovering the AFModel directly from the element property Models, but in Visual Studio appears the message "This property has been replaced by the 'GetParents' method"
We would like to use this method to recover the AFModels where the element is referenced (can be in more than one model)
At this moment we have found the solution using GetParents with the Category associated to the models.
There is another better solution?
Which is the query used in PISystem Explorer, General Tab, Find: Models?....its really quickly
