How to deal with growing EF database

If I look at our SQL-database then I see the EF database grow enormously:

ANALYSIS: 101 MB

ASSETS: 101 MB

AUDIT: 701 MB

PRIMARY: 110 MB

EF: 49 GB

And in fact we still have a small system....

Because the database is so big, the SQL-server is swapping it's memory. I can expand the diskspace with an extra 64GB, but then after 1 year again it is full.

THis big database makes the reporting of the data slow (SSRS i.c.w. oledb-enterprise)

I have no tools to purge the EF.

On the other hand, the EF database contains important information which we do not want to loose. Archiving data older then 1 year should be considered, but how to..

How to deal with this giant Database?

Does OsiSoft has advice/best practices

Please advise....
