My OSI licencing current percentage match sits at 75. I was wondering if the healthy state for that shouldn't be 100?
What could be the reason for that please?
The % match is how much your current machine signature matches the signature generated when you installed the lisence.
Any changes to hardware affects the % match (increased disk etc).
The PI Data Archive will run without issues until it reaches 50%.
It's reccomended to generate a new lisence when your % match drops to avoid unnessesary downtime on your system.
Everything that Andre has mentioned is spot on.
I will add this KB article that backs up what he has said: KB00289 - When does a machine-specific PI License file need to be re-created due to hardware or software changes
Let us know if this answers your questions.
Hi Andre and Caleb,
Thanks for your reply, very useful!
Another question: some of the archives have got the percentage match at -1. Does it mean anything please?
Not sure what you mean by precentage match on archives.
If you are looking in archive managment the precentage number there is how much data you have in that spesific archive.
André Åsheim I believe she is still talking about Current PctMatch in SMT.
Carol, I would need to take a look at your PI server serial number to be able to provide an answer to this question. However, it wouldn't be a good idea to post that here publicly. Would you like me to open a Tech Support case for you? Otherwise, feel free to message me privately on PI square here.
