I want to delete a large amount EF (few milion) of specific eventframetemplate over a certain period (month, year).
Does someone has a SQL-delete query to do this in the proper way?
If by SQL-delete query you mean by PI OLEDB Enterprise, this is not possible as that is a read-only provider. If you are talking about a direct query on the backend PIFD database we are unable to provide such a script on this forum. However If you call or email TechSupport we can assist with running such a script on your SQL Server. If speed of removal is not a big concern (e.g. could be executed during after-hours) you can also try using the PI Powershell cmdlet Remove-AFEventFrame to remove a list of EFs one at a time from the results of the cmdlet Find-AFEventFrame. You could also do a similar removal through an AFSDK code.
Thank you for your reply. Until now I never used the PIPowershell (didnt know), very interesting, I will study this information.
There are multiple posts for deleting Event Frames.
Delete all eventframe
Hope you can find a solution!
