Maybe we are missing a trick, OSIsoft should be a religion.
Our sacred symbol would be the PI symbol, obviously. We would pray to Dr. Kennedy each evening and read tales from the "Book of Processbook", or gain insight from the modern twist, the "Book of Coresight".
Can I be a Monk in this new religion? I want to practice being in the moment using the "Teachings from StreamInsight". Now that would be sweet.
As an All-Star you are already classed as a disciple, not sure you can hold dual-status as a Monk too.
The "Teachings from StreamInsight" has opened my eyes to a whole new world!
Yes, I have noticed that from your recent postings on the mentioned scripture. There actually is no known word for "gaining insight through PI for StreamInsight".
If I am a disciple, then I'm cool, I will just hang with the monks from time to time.
Can I apply for the post of fanatic?
I'm wondering what the role of the vCampus team would be in this newly founded religion. Also, what will be our formal attire for religious ceremonies? I'm thinking BSG or Startrek like uniforms
Rhys @ Wipro... read tales from the "Book of Processbook" ...

shouldn't we read tales from this book? As vCampus team members, I think we qualify as monks .
@Michael Halhead: Consider yourself an official fanatic, but be sure to complete the annual pilgrimage to the main gathering of disciples, monks, etc in San Francisco.
@Michael @ OSIsoft: the vCampus team are the protectors of our sacred books, gatekeepers to the '(vCampus) Library of truth'.
@Andreas: Very true! That book will complete the collection nicely.
I also move for creating our own virtual theocracy called Osistan

lol! I can't help but refer to this:
"Let's not go there, it is a silly place"
...or this book: en.wikipedia.org/.../Life_of_Pi
(BTW, sorry I started a silly thread... )
Devout followers should embrace PI in every aspect of their day-to-day life:
@Dennis: we actually hand out the 3rd one (the ice cube tray) as door prizes during our Canadian Regional Seminars, amongst other things. Thanks for bringing the 2 first items to my attention - very cool!

Dennis, brother, I am still waiting to hear about your revelations on PI System-MATLAB integration whenever you have them
