One of my queries in SQL Commander is running for long. Is there a way to force quit it. I am trying the 'Cancel' option available in the tool but it does not do anything.
To stop a query from running after it has started, right-click inside the query window and select Cancel, or select Query > Cancel.
Hey Gabriel, I tried that but was not successful. I tried using 'Command Timeout' But that too failed to stop an already running query.
The only option was to let it run its course. But I am sure there should be another way to force quit it mid execution.
Why do you want to cancel the query? Can you use timeout for stopping?
From PI SQL Commander, it can set timeout.
Right click > Command Timeout > Custom... you can set specific seconds for the timeout.
If the query over this timeout seconds, then it returns Timeout.
Hi Kenji, That worked for me. I just was trying to figure out if I can Cancel a query mid execution without use of Command Timeout.
Thanx for the help.
