Any update on the release date of this?
Real soon. Steve might be able to provide a more detailed view of it. I can only share my lunch talks to BB
@Asle: we are in the final stages of testing and we hope to release by the end of the month. As you can imagine, the testing effort for a product with such a large variety of use cases (and environments) is quite large. Especially with the addition of significant new features like "attribute value search", "bottom-up search", and much refactoring to deliver far better performance.
We know it was slated for 4Q2011 and we are now a couple weeks passed that, but the team really strives to deliver a product that is as rigourous as possible... yet in the best delays [;]
By the way, PI JDBC and PI Web Services 2010 R3 should be coming up at the same time...
Thanks for the info - we'll be waiting
Steve Pilonand we hope to release by the end of the month
Just want to know, which exactly month do you mean. We really need this update to perform better with AF and SQL...
Here we go! Published yesterday unnoticed
Now I'm at a difficult dilemma of perfectionizing the work already done with multiple workarounds
FYI, PI OLEDB Enterprise 2010 R3 release have been withdrawn. You can find the announcement on OSIsoft Techsupport website here.
Oh... I noticed the release... I even installed it at one of our clients' servers.
I'm uploading the PI OLEDB Enterprise R2 release back to the Download Center now.
When a patch or new release of PI OLEDB Enterprise R3 is available, we will make that available (again) as soon as possible.
I downloaded it too, fortunately did not install it. Hopefully we will get it back soon.
Again - sharing my "intelligence" secret sources - expect it to be posted on vCampus soon!
Hint: look in the download center. Please give the R3 version a hard time and test it thoroughly. Currently it is only available on vCampus
Since your post is dated as yesterday, does this mean that the R3 "With the Issue #25480OSI8" is fixed and available for download ?
Yes, the issue has been fixed and the updated kit has been made available to the vCampus community (see the vCampus Download Center, under Data Access Technologies).
What Andreas omitted to say is, this is a Release Candidate and we invite you to kick its tires before we (shortly) make it available to public again.
I'll check with the vCampus team and make sure it is labeled appropriately on the Download Center.
Everybody happy with the RC?
Or did nobody try it ?
Alrighty, it's available again!
