PI to PI recovery in case of source interface failure

Hi Everyone!

I have a quite simple theorethical question.

Let's assume we have an interface configured with buffering to a PI server called PI1. From this PI1 a PI to PI interfaces sends the data to another PI server called PI2.

When the connection breaks between the interface and the PI1 the interface will buffer data. When we restore the connection the buffer will write the data to the PI1.

The question is: Will the PI to PI interface transfer all buffered data to the PI2, or not?

My assumption is that the data is coming in normal way, just much faster, so the interface will not have any problem and transer all data.

What is your opinion or do you have experiance with this situation?

Looking forward to hearing your opinion!

Robert
