is it possible for PI AF Notification 2017R2 to capture screenshot from a PI Coresight 2016 ?
It is possible to capture a screenshot using PI Notifications 2017 R2 of any webpage provided that it's in the trusted web site list. The information is here :
I wouldn't know how this could work without a "man in the middle". PI Notifications supports including a link to a PI Vision display and I assume this can even be PI Coresight 2016.
I should really act more open-minded. My reply deserves being marked as the wrong answer but there's no button for this.
Thank you for chiming and clarifying!!
No worries, it's a brand new feature in 2017 R2!
I was a little fast on my reply too when I wrote "Any website"! Thanks for specifying that websites that use SilverLight won't work Mike Zboray !
thanks for some reason I cannot access the link, I will have another link where I can download the information
Sorry about I copy\pasted the wrong link for this article. I edited my post with the right one.
Thank you very much for the information, in the end the problem was the version of the PIvision that I had (2019), according to the documentation it is no longer possible to send screenshots by notifications from the 2019 version. The component that captures it, called PhantomJS, which is not an OSIsoft product, is no longer developed and is not compatible with PI Vision 2019. hopefully the osisoft development area can find alternatives
We are currently looking for a fix!
During development of this feature we tested with Vision 2017. I suspect it would work with Coresight 2016 as well because both are HTML5-based implementations. Older versions of Coresight used Silverlight, which we can't support.
Thank you all for reply so fast.
i was able to test this Scenario. and was successfull.
