New to PI. Was wondering if there is a way to actively verify/monitor data synchronization between PrimaryServer-SecondaryServers in a Pi Collective?
You can set up Windows Performance Counters for PI Server Statistics to verify collective synchronization. You can use the PI Performance Monitor interface (PerfMon) installed with each PI Data Archive server to read performance counters and to archive the values.
Is Available = Indicates if the server is available.
Is In Sync = Indicates if the server is synchronized with other members of the collective
Monitor PI Data Archive collective performance
Note on synchronization:
The PI System uses the buffer mechanism to replicate data from interfaces to the servers in a PI Data Archive collective. Therefore, data not sent to PI Data Archive server through the buffering system is not replicated. When we discuss PI Server High Availability and collectives we are not typically referring to data synchronization as it is not necessary to have mirrored events in the archives of the collective.
You can also use the PI Collective Manager to determine what the status is of your PI Collected
