OLEDB and PIBufss issues?

Hi

I have a question regarding OLEDB queries when using PI-SDK buffering with PIBuffSS / SDK 1.4

Are there any limitations or differences for which queries I can use, when I've turned on buffering - compared to before I used buffering?

There is nothing about this in either of the OLEDB manuals, and the only thing I can find in the PI-SDK Utility help file is that PI OLEDB Provider/OLEDB Enterprise is using PI-SDK buffering, and supports FanAndBuffer.

Reason for asking is that I got an error message:

Write failed. Unbuffered write would desynchronize data. server_name

With this explanation:

A PI SDK call that does not support buffering was made to a collective. Such calls cannot be completed because they can update only the primary collective member, which would result in desynchronized collective archives.

The SQL queries used are normal UPDATE and DELETE queries.
