PI Vision: Restrict the graphic visualitation for some users (hidden graphics)

    David_NA

I want to control the access of specific graphic in PI Vision. There are two groups, the "A" group users must not be able to watch the graphics of the "B" group. Now there are security control in PI AF and PI Archive but all the users can se all the graphics although see "No Data" in the current value of the the graphic whit out permision. ¿Exist some way to restrict the visualitation of the all graphic to some users (hidden)? I mean, justo only able to see their especific graphics.

      Thanks

          Hi David,

Here there are two scenarios as below,

          1. If you want to restrict the displays for the particular user group or user, you can control it from Display settings--> Share With: option. You need to select the particular group or user and click on Save. Users not not part of that particular group cannot able to access the that particular display (Not even shown in search results)

          2. If the User gets :No Data" error in PI Vision displays means, that particular user don't have PI System access, access need to be provided for the particluar user based on the Organization security policy (Either Through mapping or through Active directory)

          Regards,

          Vasanth.
