Hi - Is there any case or function on how to do statistical normality tests in PI system explorer?

Example on what we would like to implement:

Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test for Normality | Real Statistics Using Excel

Thanks

Hi Armon,

As Robert mentioned, KS test is currently not on our list of available functions. I encourage you to go to our feedback platform and post a new idea.

Another solution for you is our recently announced native integration with MATLAB Production server.

Best regards,

Rafael

Roger Palmen Yes it is discontinued as of AF 2018 SP2. I think at the time of Rafael's post we were just releasing AF 2018 which had the Matlab integration.

Hi Armon,

There are a number of basic statistical tools available for you to use within AF's Analysis Toolkit. You can find them by Opening up PI system Explorer > selecting an element > Analyses Tab on the element > far right side will have a list of functions and you can use the drop down to select statistical.

That being said, I know we don't have a built-in Kolmogorov Distribution function and I suspect that it would be a bit of a pain to build, so I would recommend using DataLink to pull your data into Excel and use some of the more full-fledged tools there to run this kind of higher level statistical analysis.

Cheers,

Rob
