The known issue you are referring to (even though it seems to be removed from the techsupport site for some reason) was resolved in the PI AF Server version 2.7. So the solution (if you are running 2.6 or earlier) would be to upgrade PI AF Server.
Can you please let us know the version of the AF Server and Asset Analytics you are running?
It could be also good to have a look at the logs for the time when the issue is present - for that I would recommend to open a techsupport case for deeper investigation.
