    FINAL PROJECT- VBA SCRIPT

    aharon

      Im having troble with the macro/vba script portion of the final project.

      Im simply trying to create a button that when clicked will bring up my trend

      I right clicked on my trend and set the visible property to false.

      I then added a button to my display called Show Trend.

      I then went to tools-->macros  and created a macros called Button

      I then put in the following code

      Private Sub Button()

      ThisDisplay.Trend1.Visible = True

      End Sub

      When I run the program and click the button I get a "Failed to execute OS command Button"

      Im definitely not a programmer and ive spent far too much time on something simple so im hoping you can help

      out

          Hey Aharon,

          I gave you a call to troubleshoot the issue and we were able to get a button working. Posting the process we went through here for visibility:

          1. Button configuration -> Action: Select Dropdown -> Marcos

          2. Type in Macro name and click "Create":

          3. VBA

          Sub InvisaTrend()

          ThisDisplay.Trend1.Visible = True

          End Sub

          This worked successfully.  I believe because your Macro was "Private" it was unlisted in this view and we were unable to call it with our Button. That's the theory.
