    PI UFL Tagname

    pmc2018

      Hello,

How do I prepend a few characters to a tag? I define the tag name from a column header in my PI UFL interface. When I go to store into PI what I really want the tag name to look like is XXX_tagname. Can I do this in the UFL designer or do I need to do this directly in the INI file?

In the example below, the second column header "Call #" is defined as the Tagname however what I really want the tagname in PI to look like is "XXX_Call #" how do I make this happen?

      Time Call #
      11/9/2017 8:011329
      11/9/2017 6:021328
      11/9/2017 4:011327
      11/9/2017 2:021326

I have attached an excerpt of the INI file.

      Thanks,

      Prianka

          Hi Prianka,

You can change this in INI file.

          please see below for example:

If you are using Fields to link Time and Call # (Time is Field(2) and Call # is Field(1))

          StoreInPI("XXX" & FIELD(1),,FIELD(2),FIELD(3),,,)

Please let me know in case of any queries.

          Regards,

          Sai
