I'm unable to fetch tag data from Pi Server using PI Vision but I'm able to fetch data from the database. Can someone let me know why this might be happening and what can we do to solve this problem?
Please check whether your Tag has sufficient permission to access it from PI Vision. I think you have already raised a similar post in Jan 2019 https://pisquare.osisoft.com/thread/38750-unable-to-access-tags-from-data-archive-in-pi-vision
Please check the responses there and let us know.
I have gone through my previous post and i have checked all the things that were mentioned there. In that case i was able to get tag data from admin id at least but in this case I'm not able to fetch data from admin id also. There is one more error that is turning up when i'm trying to create an xy plot using the database which you can see in the following screenshot.
It'll be really helpful if you can please look into this also and let me know how can i solve these problems. I would also like to mention that the PI Server and PI Vision both of them are present on the same machine.
Request you to check PI Configuration database and PI Web API --> System Configuration
You can debug the error by clicking developer tools and check XY and Event frames etc.
I have checked the PI configuration database and the PI Web API---> System configuration also and everything is alright there.
For XY Plot to work, your URL needs to be with hostname and/or FQDN. localhost cannot be used.
For your WebAPI error, can you check the PI Web API Configuration in the configuration database, to make sure that all the attribute property is configuration item? If it is not set as a configuration item then PI Web API does not recognize that attribute.
For your PI Point retrieval issue, we have given the best possible solutions in the previous post. If you are still facing the issue, I request you to raise techsupport case.
I checked the PI Web API configuration in the configuration item and the attribute property for all of them is configuration item.
For PI Point i'll once again go through all the solutions that were recommended.
