We upgraded to AF 2018 SP2 and since then while browsing AF analysis, the analysis get checked out without making any changes.
All we have to do is undo checkout but it is annoying.
Has any of you found similar issues?
Can you provide a bit more info? I'm trying to understand what may be happening here.
How do you know the analyses are checked out? Do you see visual indications in PI System Explorer that the analyses are checked out? For example, are you seeing red check marks by the analyses?
When you undo check out, who is the user that checked out the analyses?
I open PI System explorer and everything is checked in.
I browse the AF hierarchy and Open one analysis, just click here and there
and the analysis becomes checked out. No changes were made to the analysis.
I hope this helps.

Hi, can you please open a case with tech support? They can help get to the bottom of this.
Which user is checking out the analysis ? You can see this on the Undo Check Out dialog box, by selecting Show All Users:
Did you contact support? If you did, mind messaging me privately what your case number is?
I will contact Tech support and get back to you all, I was just looking to see if anybody else encountered this issue.
This happens to whatever user is logged in. If I am in AF, then it will check out under my name.
I think it has to do with SQL but I will run through it with Tech support.
did you manage to resolve the problem?
We have considered upgrading to SP2, but will not if this is a general problem.
I have tested this on our test server with AF 2018 SP2 and I can't reproduce the problem.
To my knowledge we don't have a known issue with these symptoms.
