Please check the bitness of your PI System Explorer, your ODBC Driver and your excel program.
'The specified DSN architecture donesn´t match between the controller and the application' error message usually indicate a mismatch between 64-bit and 32-bit.
You need to use the same bitness of PI System Explorer for your ODBC Driver
I have checked that Excel and PI Explorer are 64 bit. Not sure about the ODB Driver. How can I check it?
The ODBC Driver in windows is managed by 'ODBC Data Sources' application in the Windows.
There are two versions of this app: 32 and 64-bit. Use any one and check its platform for your Microsoft Excel Driver's platform as below:
Just to clarify, the bitness of the driver much match the bitness of the PI AF application service. To configure the table connection via PI System Explorer, you must also use PSE with the same bitness as the driver. Otherwise, you won't see the driver listed in the list of possible drivers.
All modern PI AF application services are 64-bit, so as a recommendation, I would use 64-bit PSE to be able to specify the driver during the configuration of the table connection and a 64-bit driver. The PI AF Application service fetches the data from the external application, this is why the bitness of the driver must match the bitness of the PI AF Application service.
