Can't register XML Delivery Channel in PI Notifications

    GregDumas

Opps! I can’t register the xml delivery channel. Please help.

Our end result is to send PI AF data to SAP, in an XML file, using PI notifications – just like the VCampusSAPMaximoLab.

I experimented with the xml delivery channel for SAP/Maximo at the developer’s conference last year and got it to work.

Next, I tried to install the delivery channel on a new PI server, with PI 2012, Windows 2008 server R2, 64 bit, dot net 4.

Unfortunately, I could not register the plug-in. Here’s what happened:

      I entered the command:

      C:\Program Files (x86)\PIPC\AF>regplugin c:\xmldeliverychannel.dll

      The system responded:

      PISystem 'PIServerA', (cbb15fda-d694-46ad-aa09-e8ed3e9195ef).

          Found support assembly 'xmldeliverychannel.dll'.

Owning assembly for support assembly 'xmldeliverychannel.dll' is not defined.

May need to specify the owner using the 'Owner' argument.

          >> An attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which

would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed in previous versions of the

.NET Framework. This release of the .NET Framework does not enable CAS

policy by default, so this load may be dangerous. If this load is not

intended to sandbox the assembly, please enable the loadFromRemoteSources

          switch. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=155569 for more

          information.

      Anyone seen this issue?

I think there are two problems:

What is the owning assembly for the XML delivery Channel? Is it the same as the email delivery channel?

How do I tell the dot Net Framework to trust this assembly?

      What do you think?
