Re: How to remove 'Everyone' access when a new AF db is being created?

Hi Chew,
In the PI System Explorer, open the system connection window (identified as "Select Database"), and click on the "..." button just beside the PI AF name (system name). Then right-click on the PI AF Server name, select "Security" --> "Databases" and set the defaut permissions for your Windows users and groups. In the next time you create a new database, it will get the defaut permissions that you have specified there.
I hope this helps!

From the Database button in the top left corner of PI System Explorer. In the Select Database Dialog that results, click on the "..." button next to the System (AF Server) combo box. In the list of AF Servers that is shown, right click on your server, choose the Security/Databases menu item.
This will set the default security for new Databases created going forward.

Re: How to remove 'Everyone' access when a new AF db is being created?
Absar Sep 14, 2017 7:37 AM (in response to ChewCheeLim)Is Administrators Identity (which contain the Built-In Administrators Group) added by default to all the AF DB Security?
Can we not remove access for Administrators Identity (which contain the Built-In Administrators Group) from an AF DB and just add any specific Domain ID like "MyDomainID" (note "MyDomainID" is part of Built-In Administrators Group)? I tried to test this but even after removing Administrators Identity (which contain the Built-In Administrators Group), the AF DB is still accessible by another member of Built-In Administrators Group?? Please help to explain the reason and whether there is any way to achieve this - to ONLY allow access to "MyDomainID" (no Administrators)?
