Performance counter for PI Analysis Service is missing after PI Data Archive upgrade from 2016 to 2018. (Attached screen-shoot). Anyone experiencing the same thing?
On the machine running Asset Analytics, if you use Performance Monitor, can you retrieve the counters?
I think you are using PI SMT from the PI Data Archive node. If the PI Analysis Service is on a different node, the issue is probably with authorization. The user running PI SMT needs to be in the Performance Monitor users group on the node running the PI Analysis Service.
If the performance counters are missing completely, this tells me that the installation was never done by running the install kit with admin privileges (right click > run as administrator). Try uninstalling and reinstalling and run the installer as an administrator by right clicking and selecting run as administrator.
Performance monitor counters are back after I tried uninstalling and reinstalling PI Analysis Service (run as administrator).
