I'm looking for an example (for syntax) of an UPDATE statement with a WHERE clause. I'm reading several PI tags at a specific interval and updating (not Inserting) rows on a SQL Server table.
could you please be more specific? If you are using MS SQL, the syntax details can be found - UPDATE - SQL Command - SQL Server | Microsoft Docs
A typical example for the RDBMS Output tags could be:
UPDATE PIValuesTable SET timestamp = ?, value = ? WHERE tagname = ?;
Then you need to use proper placeholders for ? (in the right order). For example: P1 = 'yourtag'/TS P2='yourtag'/VL P3='yourtag'. Or you can use the SourceTag attribute or /EVENT keyword, see the UserGuide examples chapter.
Hope it helps, Martin
