PI Buffering

Question asked by mohbaba on Feb 4, 2020

In PI collective Environment , PI-SVR-01 and PI-SVR-02 are the members in Domain Environment.

We have PI OPC HDA interfaces. say PI-OPC-001 and PI-OPC-002 with WARM Failover. In this , N Way Buffering is configured in Work group. Added Domain Users in Windows credential managers to connect with PI servers.

PI Interface is running under PIIntuser .

PI buffer sub system is running under PIBuffAdmin.

PI-OPC-001 is configured with SDK Member PI-SVR-01 and API host name as PI-SVR-01.<DomainName>.Net.

PI-OPC-002 is configured with SDK Member PI-SVR-02 and API host name as <IP ADDRESS>.

Now In PI-OPC-002 , Buffering is ON and It flushing data via Queues. Data read and Writes are updating.

PIClient.INI file configuration as below

[APIBUFFER]

BUFFERING=1

[PIBUFSS]

BUFFERING=1

FILEBUFPATH=D:\PI_buffering

[BUFFEREDSERVERLIST]

BUFSERV1=10.100.100.102

BUFSERV2=10.100.100.101

But In PI-OPC-001 , Buffering is ON and Data read and Writes shows Zero.

PIClient.INI file configuration as below

[APIBUFFER]

BUFFERING=1

[PIBUFSS]

BUFFERING=1

FILEBUFPATH=D:\PI_buffering

[BUFFEREDSERVERLIST]

BUFSERV1=PI-SVR-01.<DomainName>.Net

BUFSERV2=PI-SVR-01.<DomainName>.Net

Full permission is given for PIBuffadmin and PIIntuser under D:\PI_buffering.

Can you please let me know the above configuration is wrong. I want both interface should buffer the data.
