Does have anyone any idea of how can I get the TOP then equipments with highest number of failures in ascending order by AF Analyses? I need to show this in dynamic graphic bars in PI Vision too.
I believe this can be achieved by having analysis that will calculate the no of failures and write it back to attribute which will be different for each equipment.
These attributes can then be called to a linked AF table and SQL query can be used to arrange these failure attributes in ascending order and write it back to different output attributes. The output attribute name will remain the same but the value will change to show the exact no of failures per equipment. You can map these attributes in vision.
I am not equipped to help you with the exact and specific SQL query pertaining to your requirement required but I am sure this approach will work out.
Looking forward to more answers from the experts on this
How do you determine that an equipment is in failure?
Well, I already have a counter that count the number of fails that an equipment had in a specifc period using analyses.
Ok, if you simply want the top 10 in a report, Kiran's approach is good! You could also use PI DataLink and Excel's sort function.
Hi, Kiran! It's a great idea. I will do some tests and come back for feedback. Thank you!
Just another question, guys. In case of write values from analyses to AF Table. Is it really possible? How can I do this?
Please find below KB article for writing data to PI AF table.
