I created a roll-up , But I don't want to save the output to Server. How can I do ? Thank you very much.
Roll up analysis do not support the use of the 'analysis data reference'. You will need to map the output to a PI Point Data reference to save output history. You can find more information in this knowledge article.
A workaround is to create the attribute with no data reference and map into it. It is not recommended for a number of reasons, but it is possible. One major side effect is it could be a performance drain on your AF Server since you are writing to the AF Attribute at each execution.
Sorry, I don't get your point. Could you share your screenshot? Thank you very much.
Create an attribute in element or AF template (Data Reference in this case is None)
Note : Do not use a None data reference as this can cause performance issues on the SQL server and suggest using PI tag for Roll up calculation output.
thank you very much.
In fact I don't save the output into server. Expression can implement this function.
Rollups don't support the Analysis data reference as Pranav suggested. This is for performance reasons, as rollups on a lot of attributes could cause performance issues for the Analysis data reference that is executed on the client as opposed to executed by the PI Analysis Service.
As Dan and Lal mentioned, writing to static attributes is not recommended for a ton of reasons.
The only supported and recommended output for a rollup is a PI Point.
