I created test PI points with point sources 'R'and 'L' but they are showing Pt Created. I have checked the security settings also. Could anybody please help.
Pt Created is the initial value of a new created tag, with the timestamp of creation. The event can be deleted, if you wish, using for instance the Archive Editor of PI SMT. If you are expecting data in the PI tag, but it still show Pt Created, probably the interface or buffering is not setup correctly, or the tag configuration is not correct
Thank you Danny for the reply. It started working now. But now that tag is mapped as an output attribute in AF but it is still picking the PI Point value.
Probably your analyses didn't run yet, or no valid output to write to that tag.
Could you share some screenshots so we can understand what you are trying to do, or could you provide more details ?
Good to note that the Pt Created issue is resolved.
However your analyses output is still receiving values other that the analyses output, is rather strange. Could you change the point source to M (doing this will mark the tag as manual and no other point source will not be able to write data to this particular tag apart from the analyses out put.) Also if you have ant instrument tag mapped, do delete it. Refer Screenshots.
Still if you face issues, do let us know.
AF issue has been resolved. Thank you everyone.
But could you please help me with the reasons "Pt created" for any test tag.
Any help would be appreciated:)
Pt Created is the initial value of a new created tag. When there is no interface, AF Analyses Output or anything else is writing to the tag, the value "Pt Created" will not be replaced.
Thank you Danny. But if we just wanted to create a test tag with manually created point source in "Point Source Table" or any other point source "l". It should show some data. Am I correct?
You can actually simulate tags or create test tags using the 'R' point source(ps). Make sure to set the location codes properly, you could use SINUSOID tag as reference to set the locations codes. I have created a test tag with 'R' PS and that just works fine. It tool a while to start updating the values though.
Hope this helps.
