Is it possible to include Attributes of Child Elements in a Collection?

I am building some Overview dashboards of our furnaces. As we get a lot of data per furnace, we are organizing all of those PI Points and AF Attributes using lots of child elements.

On the display, I would prefer to use a Collection, so that I only have to build that part once. However, the values I want to disply are in various attributes in child elements. Is there any way to directly include those attributes of child elements? It seems like collections currently only support attributes of the element.

The current workaround would be to create a single child element that includes a copy/reference to all the attributes that I want to display in the collection. Is there a better way to do that?

Hierarchy looks somewhat like this:

Plant 01

-- Furnace 01

    -- P01.F01.Heating

            |measured_temperature

            |aim_temperature

    -- P01.F01.Cooling

            |water_flow

-- Furnace 02

    -- P01.F02.Heating

            |measured_temperature

            |aim_temperature

    -- P01.F02.Cooling

            |water_flow
