Is there a way to "change" the UOM of a value in my display if the PI value becames greater than 1000?
For instance, if the PI value is "10000 V", then the displayed value is "10 kV".
Thanks for the help
There are some number formatting options that will condense the display of large numbers (e.g., using Scientific Notation), but I don't expect that's what you are requesting....please let me know if that is true.
You could probably figure out a performance expression that would append the appropriate UOM onto the end of the value and pass it to PB as a string, but that would only work for value symbols. If you wrote a custom dataset to collect the values you could probably manipulate the UOM accordingly.
Couldn't you use vba or an add in to manipulate the data point's AF string, like appending the desired UOM if a formatting threshold is reached. Something like AF.\....\blahblah;[UOM=kV]. I don't have PB open right now to check syntax.
You can specify a UOM for an AF2 reference, but you can't do it conditionally based on a value.
