vCampus Live! 2012 Quick Report

OSIsoft vCampus Live! 2012 ended Friday Nov 30, 2012. The event was a revamped edition of our previous vCampus Live! conferences aiming at delivering more hands on experience and value to the attendees. The keynote sessions, technical infrastructure, venue, and hackathon sessions were all rethought to better align with your needs. For the first time we used a cloud-based solution to deliver our labs; it was a huge undertaking using 87TB of space in the cloud; it was BIG!

We delivered 28 hands on sessions in 4 parallel tracks along with 10 presentations in a presentation track over 2 days. The two Hackathons on Day 0 (programming and security) were perceived very well by the community and added lots of excitement. We had two receptions and a great party with lots of fun, food, and games! The new venue, Hyatt Union Square San Francisco, offered spectacular panoramic views of the City and the Bay on the 36th floor where folks partied and hacked. Please tell us your feedback if you attended; a survey will be in your inbox soon. Also, if you did not attend, we would love to hear from you why you did not attend.

Congratulations to 2012 OSIsoft vCampus All Stars!
