How can I total an input in a batch process: I have an process in batch, and one one flow tag "FI- ..." in m³/h How can i totalization this tag per day?
If FI-1902 stores instantaneous flow rates and you are trying to calculate the total m³ each day, you would use
TagTot totalizes an attribute from a start time to an end time. It assumes that the attribute is in "unit"/day and outputs a value in "unit". Since your attribute is in m³/h, we multiply by 24 h/day to convert from m³/h to m³/day.
At the bottom of the Analyses tab in PI System Explorer, set the Scheduling to be Periodic.
Click on Configure and set the Periodic Schedule to Daily. Click OK.
To make the start of the time range the timestamp of each calculated value, click on Advanced and set the Output Time Stamp to be Relative To Trigger Time: *-1d. Click OK.
If you want to add up the values of individual events in a time range, see the post below:
TagTot as event-weighted. Is it possible?
This method would be used if you had an attribute that, for example, stored the mass of each batch and you wanted to calculate the total mass that was processed in a time range. The total will have the same unit as the input attribute (e.g. if each event is in kg, then the total will be in kg).
