I use the PI System Management Tools. Is that a button or a way to export achive data to csv?
Yes, there is a menu for that! It's under the menu Data > Archive Editor > Top right (next to help)
Please remember that this will only give you compressed data and cannot give you plot/calculated or sampled data. Please use PI DataLink for the other use.
Thanks for your response.
But I could't find the menu Data.
That is the screenshot my PI SMT.
I really appreciate your help
I see you are under the Operation>Archives menu. Please find the right panel in bottom left.
You cannot just dump the whole contents of the archive file to csv. You can only do this per tag basis. Or with programming.
thanks for your help.
I find this page.
But I find that the archive I registerd from another PI server couldn't search any tags...
In general, archive file from another PI Server will NOT be compatible. This is because the archive file has decoupled key tag attributes/information with the actual data. This is done to increase the performance of your PI data archive server.
Please use PI to PI Interface or another method to import/export data to this server.
Sorry to bother you.You says that the archive file has decoupled key tag attributes/information with the actual data.Does it means that there is another file to store key or tag?Is that means I copy archive file and the other file to the new server that it will work?
There is a separate file containing only the tag information and their settings. But the files are specific to each server. We do not support copying archive files to another server. You may use either PI to PI Interface or contact your local TechSupport team about merging servers. But I must say that the merging process is in general not easy and takes a very long time.
