I have just installed PI Datalink 2017. When I open Excel 365 and look in the options to include the PI Datalink add-in, it's listed and I can put a check in the box, but no PI datalink Tab is visible. Suggestions for a fix please?
Hi, Peter. It's hard to say without more information, but following resources might be helpful if you want to give them a try:

Many thanks for the links. Though they didn't actually solve the problem they did give some suitable guidance.
I did actually notice that when you look in the Excel Add-ins list it includes both the 64-bit and the 32-bit PI-Datalink add-ins; this seems to be normal.
So I did an uninstall, checked in Excel that the Add-ins (both of them) had disappeared, then re-installed.
Next time I opened Excel with a blank workbook the PI-Datalink toolbar was absent, so I went through the File>Options>Add-ins and confirmed the PI-Datalink box was checked. It was, so I unchecked it, rechecked it, stopped Excel, restarted Excel and the Toolbar is now visible.
I did not have to touch the registry, though I did have to bounce Excel a couple of times after the re-installation. Whilst my account on the system is an administrator account I did not specifically 'run as administrator' the setup.exe file.
