OPC UA server redundancy

How does the Connector manage the server redundancy?

I have a pair of SCADA servers which are configured as a hot-redundant pair from the SCADA perspective, but the OPC UA config (outside of my control) shows that the UA servers seem to think that each is a unique instance. I mean that both UA servers have Redundancy Support = 0 (None)

Right now I have a bit of a clumsy PI config in which all tags are duplicated and post-pended with "A" or "B", depending on the datasource.

Obviously the correct solution in this case is to have the right config in the UA server data source, but as mentioned, that is out of my control.

What would be the danger of enabling the redundancy and fail-over endpoint in the Connector and maintaining a single tag in the PI database?

Edit: I am using OPC UA Connector V3 V2.0.1. So sorry
