Kindly let me know how to extract Tag configuration which got updated/created during certain period. I heard it may be possible through SQL/OLEDB.
You can do it using e.g. PI OLEDB Provider. I used PI SQL Commander Lite and modified pre-defined query of pipoint table from pipoint catalog, and it looks like below. By default, it filters only by pointsource = 'R'.
If you want to find points created within a certain time range, you need to change "changedate" to "creationdate".
SELECT tag, archiving, changedate, changer, compdev, compdevpercent, compmax, compmin, compressing, convers, creationdate, creator, dataaccess, datagroup, dataowner, descriptor, dignumber, digstartcode, displaydigits, engunits, excdev, excdevpercent, excmax, excmin, exdesc, filtercode, instrumenttag, location1, location2, location3, location4, location5, pointaccess, pointclass, pointgroup, pointid, pointnumber, pointowner, pointsource, pointtype, pointtypex, recordtype, res, scan, shutdown, sourcetag, span, squareroot, step, tag, totalcode, typicalvalue, userint1, userint2, userreal1, userreal2, zeroFROM [pipoint]..[pipoint]WHERE pointsource = 'R' AND changedate > '2019-09-20 00:00:00' AND changedate < '2019-10-29 00:00:00'
Depending on the on the number of tags and how frequently you need to review this info, you can also use Excel with the PI Builder plug-in:
One disadvantage here is that the filtering is not as flexible since it seems the tag search can only handle one instance of a particular tag attribute. For example, you can only do a one-sided time filter on ChangeDate:
If a second changedate parameter is added, the the following error is thrown:
"Unable to add duplicate attribute to tag search query: changedate. Parameter name: attribute"
