I got a request from customer to calculate tag values in below format, but I'm not sure how to set the conversion factor. Can someone please advise?

Requirement

- Compressed data for the tag is below:

- A simple average of first 15 values gives 8118.915

- Using Calculated Value in Datalink with Conversion Factor = 1 gives a similar value. (though my screenshot is for "event-weighted" average, please note that time-weighted results are not too different).

Using Conversion Factor = 96 gives below:

Using Conversion Factor = 1/96 = 0.0104166 gives below:

Clicking the small button next to Conversion Factor shows below:

Now, there are 96 "15 min intervals" in a day. Does that mean using interval = 15m and Conversion Factor = 1 is equivalent to a conversion factor of 1/96? Tricky part is, I don't know what value user is expecting.

Thanks,

TomJ

Assuming the user is simply asking for a straight conversion, that is, multiply the returned value by 1/96, try using the value you listed, 0.0104166, as your factor.

Also, try pulling the non-factored data into a spreadsheet and present both factored and non-factored to the user asking for their feedback.
