The following errors were encountered during the installation of PI web API：
Please make sure if the installing user has enough permission to create objects within your AF Database.
It will need to add an element to your configuration database. This part of installation seems to be lacking at the moment.
Thanks！Does it matter that Pi server and PI web API are not installed on the same server？
If it's not installed on the same server, then you need permission to install/create on a remote server.
So security will matter if they are NOT in the same machine.
Also, it will matter when you are in a workgroup environment.
You mean this installing user ?
PS:The service is installed successfully, but i am getting error while trying to start the service.pi dataserver ip: *.*.*.5,*.*.*.6,AF dataserver ip:*.*.*.7，the account used in the SDK to connect pi server is an administrator。I don't know whether this error has anything to do with the AF server adding a domain, because neither PI server nor web API server has added a domain, but AF server has added a domain.
Is this installation of PI Web API used solely for PI Vision? If so, you can avoid PI Web API entirely by upgrading to PI Vision 2020, which doesn't use PI Web API.
i want to build a xamarin.forms app to render the data from pi server, but the pi af sdk and pi sdk does not support the .net core 3.1,so,i want to try pi web api
Have you voted for this suggestion yet?
Add .NET Core support for AF SDK
