is there a SDK-Object to determine the number of [created|empty] archives of a given PI-Server?
At least I wasn't able to find what you are asking for in the PI-SDK Help but PI Archive Subsystem exposes performance counters "Archive Count" and "Empty Archive Count".
Does that help?
that is exactly what i'am looking for.
This solution is perfect, because it's simplicity.
Thank you very much
are you sure tis is a part of PI Archive Subsystem?
I'am not able to find a "Archive Count" or a "Empty Archive Count" at this section.
There are some items like "Primary Archive Number", "Archive Cycles/sec" and so on but not that two above.
Is it possible that this is a feature auf PI-Server 2010 and newer?
I have version 3.4.375.99
You are right. These counters do not exist in PI 3.4.375.99
According to PLI # 6721OSI8 - the enhancement request regarding these counters - PI Archive Subsystem 3.4.380.42 and later should have them. Because PI 3.4.380 (WIS) and PI 3.4.385 (PI 2010) shared the same code base, I expect PI 2010 (3.4.385.59) was the release introducing the counters in July 2010 followed by 3.4.380 SP1 (3.4.380.70).
thank you for the information.
One more reason to migrate to server 2012 soon.
